The Music Bed was (and still is) a super fun project to work on. We had the opportunity to see this company grow from nothing to where it is now.

The Music Bed is a boutique music licensing website that caters to the wedding and non-profit industries. They license music for these two industries to use in their media projects to be shown online only. The idea behind it was born, as the owners say, from necessity. As wedding videographers, they were constantly in need of good music that they could legally use but the resources just weren’t there. So they decided to create one.

Concept Culture came in at the beginning to help brainstorm and brand. After talking about what and where this brand could and should go, we started that branding process. Looking at the competition, the idea was to create a brand that spoke quality rather than childish fun or obscure ambiguity. TMB needed something high-class but trendy.

After the branding was finished we began to discuss what the site itself needed to be able to do. We designed the site and then began development on one of the more complex backends we’ve ever done. Automated payments, multiple different reporting options, user and artist databases, secure shopping, the list goes on.

Needless to say, at the end of it all, what came out was a very cool entry into the music licensing world that’s already seeing return on its labor.

We also created the packaging for a CD Sampler that TMB will be sending out as part of their marketing campaign to photographers and videographers.

We also created a short promotional video to briefly explain what TMB is:
